Terms and Conditions

Rules for using the CAIO Connect website and services

Effective date: October 12, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of https://caioconnect.org/, including its articles, podcasts, newsletters, knowledge resources, community features, job listings, events, mentorship and other programs, and related services (collectively, the “Services”), operated by CAIO Connect, an initiative of Knowledge Networks Group (“CAIO Connect,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Additional terms may apply to a particular event, program, membership, expert engagement, or other service; where those additional terms conflict with these Terms, the specific terms will govern that activity to the extent of the conflict.

This draft is based on the publicly available CAIO Connect website and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before publication, including confirmation of the correct contracting entity and governing-law and dispute-resolution provisions.

1. About CAIO Connect

CAIO Connect is a professional community and knowledge resource focused on Chief AI Officers, senior AI leaders, and the broader AI ecosystem. The Services may include expert interviews and podcasts, news and thought leadership, educational resources, community activities, events, career opportunities, mentorship, speaker opportunities, and related content. The availability and scope of particular features may change.

2. Eligibility and Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms and applicable laws.
  • Provide information that is accurate and not misleading when submitting forms, registering, subscribing, or participating in programs.
  • Keep any account credentials confidential and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
  • Respect the rights, privacy, and professional reputation of other users, contributors, speakers, and participants.
  • Not interfere with the security, operation, or availability of the Services.

You must not use the Services to distribute malware, send spam or unsolicited promotions, impersonate another person, harass or threaten others, publish unlawful or defamatory material, scrape or harvest personal data without authorization, attempt unauthorized access, or circumvent technical or access restrictions.

3. Website Content and Educational Information

The Services provide general information, commentary, interviews, educational resources, and professional perspectives about AI leadership, strategy, governance, technology, careers, and related subjects. Content is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not legal, financial, investment, employment, cybersecurity, or other professional advice, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for advice tailored to your circumstances.

Views expressed by podcast guests, authors, speakers, community members, and other contributors are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of CAIO Connect or Knowledge Networks Group. We do not guarantee that content is complete, accurate, current, or suitable for every purpose.

4. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Services and their original content, including text, graphics, branding, logos, design, audio, video, and compilations, are owned by or licensed to CAIO Connect or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You may access and use the Services for personal, educational, and internal professional purposes. You may share links and brief quotations with appropriate attribution where permitted by law. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, modify, publicly perform, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit material from the Services without prior written permission, except where applicable law permits.

CAIO Connect names, logos, and branding may not be used in a way that implies sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, or authorization without our prior written consent.

5. User Submissions and Contributions

If you submit comments, articles, biographies, photographs, recordings, questions, applications, testimonials, or other material (“Submissions”), you represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it and that it does not violate another person’s rights or applicable law.

You retain ownership of your Submissions. You grant CAIO Connect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and use the Submission as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, and improve the Services and the activity for which it was submitted. Where a Submission is intended for publication or recording, this license includes making it available through relevant website, podcast, video, newsletter, social, and promotional channels. We will not imply that a guest endorses a product or organization without an appropriate basis.

We may review, decline, edit for length or clarity, remove, or restrict Submissions that we reasonably consider unlawful, misleading, abusive, infringing, spam, or inconsistent with these Terms. We are not obliged to publish any Submission.

6. Podcasts, Events, Mentorship, Experts, and Programs

Participation in a podcast, event, mentorship activity, expert network, speaker platform, or other program may be subject to additional instructions, consents, releases, eligibility criteria, schedules, or written agreements. Participation is not guaranteed and may be declined, changed, postponed, or cancelled.

Unless agreed in writing, participation does not create an employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary, or representative relationship with CAIO Connect. Participants may not bind CAIO Connect or speak on its behalf. Each participant is responsible for their own statements, professional advice, taxes, expenses, and obligations arising from independent engagements.

Mentorship, networking, career information, and job listings are provided as resources and do not guarantee a job, placement, business opportunity, particular outcome, or the suitability or accuracy of information supplied by third parties. Users should independently verify opportunities and exercise their own judgment.

7. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Services may link to or incorporate third-party websites, platforms, media players, registration systems, job listings, or other services. Those third parties operate independently and may have their own terms and privacy policies. CAIO Connect does not control and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, practices, or transactions. A link or reference does not imply endorsement unless expressly stated.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, available through https://caioconnect.org/. Please review it to understand how information may be collected and used. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy concerning personal information, the Privacy Policy will govern that issue.

9. Availability and Changes

We may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, including for maintenance, security, operational, or business reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that all content will remain accessible.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Services will meet your requirements.

We do not warrant that any AI-related information, job listing, external resource, speaker statement, or third-party content is accurate, complete, safe, or current. You are responsible for evaluating information before acting on it.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CAIO Connect and its officers, directors, team members, contributors, volunteers, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the aggregate liability of CAIO Connect for claims arising from or relating to the Services will be limited to the amount, if any, you paid directly to CAIO Connect for the specific Service giving rise to the claim during the twelve months before the event. If you used the relevant Service without charge, the limitation will apply to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

12. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless CAIO Connect and its officers, directors, team members, and representatives from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your material breach of these Terms, or your Submission infringing another person’s rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from CAIO Connect’s own unlawful conduct.

13. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to all or part of the Services if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created a security or legal risk, or misused the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time and may unsubscribe from newsletters using the available unsubscribe mechanism. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limitations, and indemnification.

14. Linking to CAIO Connect

You may link to publicly accessible pages of the website provided the link is lawful, accurate, not misleading, and does not falsely suggest sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation. You may not use CAIO Connect’s logo or other brand assets in a link or promotional material without prior written permission. We may request removal of a link that we reasonably consider inappropriate.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms should be interpreted under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and disputes should be brought in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, unless mandatory law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise. This clause must be reviewed by counsel and confirmed against the correct contracting entity and intended dispute-resolution approach before publication.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Services after the revised Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law. If a change requires affirmative consent, we will request it.

17. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. These Terms, together with any applicable additional terms and the Privacy Policy, form the agreement governing your use of the Services, subject to any separate written agreement that expressly applies.
