Outdated infrastructure and skills gap hinder full benefits of AI
The survey conducted by Cloudera reveals that while a majority of enterprises are adopting AI, they are facing significant challenges in leveraging it effectively.
94% of respondents trust their data, but 55% find it difficult to access all of their company’s data, due to issues like contradictory datasets, inability to govern data across platforms, and data overload.
The top use cases for AI include improving customer experiences (60%), increasing operational efficiency (57%), and expediting analytics (51%).
The main barriers to AI adoption are concerns about security and compliance risks (74%), lack of proper training or talent to manage AI tools (38%), and AI tools being too expensive (26%).
Enterprises are realizing the importance of managing data where it resides, rather than bringing the data to the models, in order to adopt AI in a cost-efficient manner.
